Recipe

Step 1.

Salt a boiling pot of water and cook the gnocchi according to the instructions on the box.

Step 2.

Add the olive oil to a frying-pan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the mushrooms and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for another 5 minutes.

Step 3.

Add the cream. Wait until it starts to bubble, then cover the pan and reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook for 3 minutes.

Step 4.

Add the gnocchi to the frying-pan, stir in the Parmesan, walnuts, and season with pepper.

Step 5.

Garnish with fresh basil. Serve immediately with more Parmesan cheese grated over top if desired.
